Does it count that I saw Deputy Bailiff Vernon Tomes raised from a drunken stupour by his jack russell jumping on his head, and he released a long stream of profanities ..Vernon Tomes that is!
ReplyDeleteAnd I had also been summonsed to the door of a friends establishment by Sir Peter Crill mounted on a large horse shouting 'Trout, Trout'.
I also had William Bailache ( in the old library with a red coat on) berate my son because he had the temerity to apply to do mathematics at Balliol , ' I really don't think you will get in ' ( being nonVC) but instead he rejected Balliol for another equivalent elsewhere and is publishing novel research including in Nature.
Bailiffs don't you just luv'em!
When did Eric Morecambe (bottom picture) become the Bailiff?
