Jersey Reform Day.
This site is dedicated to the day, now officially recognised annually by the States of Jersey, to mark the anniversary of the events of 28 September 1769.
Jersey's own Independence or Bastille Day.
I would like to say that on listening to Deputy Le Herrisier's interview I noted a comment about it being the deputies, in general, who deal with individual constituent complaints; as opposed to the constables or the senators.
I have to make a point here that I am fortunate to live in St.Martin and have done for quite a number of years and I assure you that Mr John Germaine and Constable Yates as well as Deputy Bob Hill have ALL assisted me on a personal basis. Constable Yates stepping in and helping when he was on the soc sec/income support scrutiny panel. Perhaps St. Martin just happens to be a particularly good parish as regards this kind of assistance. The constables have always been very approachable and I am grateful to them.
